Stage is Set!

With ON TIME in Virginia Beach in the books, the stage is set for BATTLE of the BELTS XVII. Twenty-two CSWA stars will face off in a series of team challenge matches and a battle royal, to determine who will become the number one contender.

While those 22 are going at it, Evan Aho and Eli Flair will face off with the winner getting the next shot at the CSWA World Championship.

And that means that either the current World Champion Mark Windham or his BOB17 opponent and former four-time champion Hornet, will know his first opponent for after the pay-per-view. And talk about drama... you've got Evan Aho, the man Mark Windham beat for the title, and Eli Flair, the man who ended Hornet's last title reign!

We here at the TRIBUNE can't even come up with all the permutations of what could happen with the United States and Presidential Titles. According to the current card lineup, Presidential Champ Tom Adler and US Champ Shane Southern will put their titles on the line in a team challenge match, where they're part of the same team. Later in the night, the US Title is scheduled to be on the line in a one-on-one match between the two. But if Southern isn't the US Champ, then it could become a match for Adler's Presidential Title. Or... well, we give up.

So to run it down one more time: the first team challenge match is between 'non-affiliated' wrestlers, although that doesn't mean that there isn't heat between some of the participants, like Nathan Storm and Tsunami.

Then we get to see the GXW and PLR factions fight each other, sort of, as their members enter an elimination tag team match. However, the teams don't fall along stable lines!

The same is true in what's turned out to be a match between CSWA stalwarts like Shane Southern and Lawrence Stanley, taking on The Intruders faction. Problem there... You've not only got Southern and Tom Adler on the same side, but GUNS and Troy Windham as well! And that leaves Stanley and Deacon teaming up with The Professionals, Miles and Mayfield!

It doesn't get much more confusing... or intriguing. It's just one week away, from the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. BATTLE OF THE BELTS XVII
