(CUE UP: "You Know You're Right" by Nirvana. Eli Flair headed out to the ring, dressed in a sleeveless "Valerian's Garden" T-shirt and bluejeans.)

BB: We're back, fans! And here we go, Simons. A lot of questions have been flying around about Eli Flair, his involvement at BATTLE of the BELTS, and the recent comments in the CS Tribune by manager Poison Ivy.

JS: Ivy McGinnis certainly has a high opinion of herself, perhaps she should try and put together the BATTLE of the BELTS?

BB: ...

JS: What?

BB: Do you really want her to come back out here? I wouldn't mind but... she may not like you. Eli Flair is in the ring, and Rhubarb has handed him a microphone, so let's let him speak.

(Eli looks around, a roar of cheers still making its way through the crowd.)

ELI: The last time I stood in front of a CSWA crowd with a microphone in my hand, I talked about wanting another chance at the World Championship... and that I would beat whoever Merritt wanted me to in order to earn a shot.

Since then, things here in the CSWA have gotten very very interesting. You've got Tom Adler reunited with the <> Cutters, talking about the last time he and Windham mixed it up. Still with the delusions of grandeur that we've come to expect from the man. But I'm sure, win or lose, we'll see it again and again in perfectly packaged recap videos. Living off the past ain't gonna do the job, Adler... or hadn't you noticed how this particular run for Windham involved victories over the top wrestlers in the game? He didn't feel the need to bring back Junior Hornet for an unwelcome shot of nostalgia.

Speaking of the Champ, he's raised his brother's eyebrows once again. Neither one of 'em would ever admit it, but Mark and Troy are so frighteningly similar that I don't think the ring can really hold 'em in. And both are being judged based on their past. Poison Ivy wrote, many months ago, that Windham's eyes were finally cleared... that he'd come through the fires that he started with The Awakening. And he's no more a Living Psycho than Troy is, King of the Slackers.

I'm living proof of that, regardless of what GUNS thinks.

Where do I stand in all this? What 'side' am I on? Same one I've always been on.

Mine.

What am I looking forward to the most?

Evan Aho.

The match I've wanted to happen even more than he has... the match that's been building since a nothing show in the Extreme Wrestling Alliance that saw me win a three-way-dance involving myself, Aho, and 'The Monarch' Matt Martin. We both knew then... but this is the stage and the stakes that we deserve. Egotistical, sure... but BATTLE of the BELTS, with a shot at the CSWA World Championship on the line...

Nothing else is worthy of the King of Extreme against the Wrestler.

Bring your 'A' game, Aho... make sure your shoulder is a hundred percent. Because I'm going to beat you, and I'm going to take the CSWA World Championship from Mark Windham or Hornet... and if you're unable to give me your all I ain't gonna take it.

Do the right thing, Evan... and give me the challenge I'm lookin' for. I won't accept being called the number one contender if I can't beat you... and I hope you'll be able to accept it...

...when I do.

(Eli drops the microphone and leaves the ring to a huge pop.)

BB: Powerful words... especially as we gear up for our next match, which just happens to feature Evan Aho taking on Dan Ryan!

Dan Ryan vs. Evan Aho

The former CSWA World Champion entered the ring giving up over a hundred pounds to the former GXW World Champion, but Evan Aho still didn't seem intimidated. Ryan offered a test of strength to start things up, probably as a joke, but Aho took advantage, locking one of his hands into Ryan's, then using leverage to pull him into a back-mounted full nelson. "The Ego Buster" tried to pull Aho over his head, with no luck. He dropped to one knee before finally pushing back into the corner to dislodge the smaller Aho. Evan followed up quickly, using the turnbuckle as leverage to launch himself upward (and down) with a neckbreaker. A quick one-count showed that Ryan wouldn't be kept down, even if caught unawares.

Aho continued to try and outrun and outwrestle the larger man, working on the knees and neck. But Ryan's power played a part as well, allowing him to reverse an attempted snap suplex and capitalize with his own snap powerbomb. While we're told that Aho's shoulder is completely healed, Ryan seemed to focus on it, using release german suplexes, clotheslines and spinebusters to try and wear down the technician from the Northwest.

Aho seemed to ignore the damage done to his shoulder and back, especially as he showed that he can even counter power, rolling through another powerbomb attempt by Ryan and hooking the head for a modified falling reverse neckbreaker. Eschewing the cover, Aho quickly went up top, waiting for Ryan to recover. As Ryan started to climb to one leg, Aho went into action, diving off for an inverted DDT from the top. It looked like he had the win, but the referee stopped the count to acknowledge Ryan's left leg was over the bottom rope. Whether it got there naturally or due to one of the two GXW cronies at ringside was left up for debate as Aho tried to pull Ryan up and finish him off.

Aho used knife edge chops to back Ryan towards the corner. It looked like Aho was going to use the turnbuckle as leverage in a move against his opponent, but Ryan quickly caught Aho by the throat and tossed him out of the corner to the mat. Aho ducked a clothesline out the corner, but didn't seem ready for the quick turnaround by Ryan, who hooked and followed through on a full nelson slam. Ryan used the advantage to turn Aho upside down, sending him head-and-shoulder-first into the mat with a Humility Bomb, giving him the one-two-three before BATTLE of the BELTS.

Winner: "The Ego Buster" Dan Ryan

Deacon vs. "Triple X" Sean Stevens

BB: Dan Ryan just got a huge win over a former CSWA World Champion... you have to think that raises his star a bit going into BOB17.

JS: But what does it do for Aho? He's got to face Flair for the top contenders spot, and now he has to head into it with a loss! And just how much did Eli Flair's interview beforehand have to do with taking his mind off Ryan?

BB: I don't know about that one. If there's anyone who has true concentration around here, it's Evan Aho. I'd be willing to bet on his shoulder as a problem before his concentration. And I'm doubtful on that one. I think you just have to chalk it up to the fact that on this night, Dan Ryan had the better game plan. Up now folks... well, you'll be able to tell real quickly from these entrances...

(CUEUP: "'Till I Collapse' by Eminem.)

The crowd stands in anticipation as the curtain slowly seperates and Sean 'Triple X' Stevens steps through. He's fully dressed to wrestle, wearing a pair of black tights, blue outlining, with his trademark 'X' etched in the back, near the rear... his long golden hair... wet and covering his face. Sean makes his way down to ringside, accompanied by Poison Ivy, acknowledging a couple of fans along the way, with a smirk here, and a wink there. Once he enters the ring, he immediately hops on the nearest turnbuckle, lifting his arms in glory, as the crowd shows their appreciation.)

The lights go out and the crowd responds in full. They know what's happening, and their suspicions are verified by the first, haunting sounds of the Gregorian Chant. Deacon is coming. A single spotlight shines through where the curtain was. In front of it, forming a silhouette, is the man called Deacon. His hands are raised to the heavens, made evident by the silhoutte doing the same thing on the ceiling over the ring. Deacon lowers his hands and walks down the ramp to the ring. He steps through the ropes and walks to the center of the ring. He crosses himself reverently, and as he completes the action, he thrusts his arms out in the form of a cross. Simultaneously, sparks fly 15 feet into the air behind him in the ring. The robe is at his feet, and he turns to speak to the referee.

BB: Spectacular entrances aside. I think we're in for one amazing display. Both, Deacon and Stevens are two very proud men. Deacon has already defeated his toughest opponent in battling MS, returning to action here in the CSWA back at the Fish Fund pay-per-view to the surprise of many. After listening to Stevens' comments this week, I think he wants to prove to Deacon and the entire CSWA roster that he's ready. that this is, in fact, his time...

JS: His time? I'm sorry. I'm don't really understand what you mean. His time to do what?

(Buckley rolls his eyes, then notices Poison Ivy in Sean Stevens' corner. He stands up and signals for her to come over, and she does, taking a seat next to Simons.)

BB: Would you mind helping us with commentary for this next match, Ivy? You're familiar with BOTH of the competitors inside the squared circle, Stevens being your (Buckley pauses, clearing his throat, as if he doesn't want to finish his sentence) -

IVY: --my boyfriend, Bill? It's not like the world doesn't already know it. Our little "day in the life" answered all the unspoken questions, now our only worries are the rumors spreading like wildfire. Last I checked, he was ahead seven-to-five, in the "who'd cheat on the other ten times first" count. We just ignore it all... (Ivy turned her attention to John Simmons). How you like your job so far, kid?

JS: It's not as hard as I thought it'd be. I mean, I'm still a little wet behind the ears, but I feel like I'm coming along nicely.

(Buckley rolls his eyes again.)

BB: There's the bell as we head to the ring, Stevens and Deacon are circling one another, they meet in the center of the ring with a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Deacon muscles Sean into the corner. Even with his recent medical problem, Deacon's still a towering individual, stronger than most of the wrestlers in the business. The referee's asking both men to break the hold, it seems as if neither want to give the other any advantage, but as he begins his count, they break it at three. Wow. Neither man goes for the sucker punch in a show of respect. That's a lost art in the world of professional wrestling.

IVY: Judging by the type of characters that Deacon and Sean have shown themselves to be, I can't say that anybody should really be surprised. Both are sportsmen in the very truest sense of the word.

JS: I wish they'd hurry up and get to the good stuff.

BB: They meet in the center again. tie up. no, Triple X with the go behind, schoolboy roll-up!! ONE-Deacon kicked out with enough force to send Triple X charging toward the ropes, he bounces off, just as Deacon's getting up to his feet Deacon with a CLOTHESL-NO, Triple X ducked, he's going full force, bounces off the other side. ELBOW TO THE FACE BY THE BIG MAN!

IVY: I'm not so sure Triple X knew what he wanted to do. He ducked that clothesline, but everything was happening so fast, he was the victim of Deacon's elbow before he knew what to do.

BB: Deacon's lifting Stevens up. Jab to the throat has Triple X reeling, sucking for air. He stumbles back to the corner, as Deacon closes in. Deacon with a forear- MULE KICK BY STEVENS HAS DEACON STUMBLING BACKWARD! Triple X up to the second turnbuckle. DROP KICK! Deacon's down!!

IVY: Sean should know that a cover at this point in time would be pointless, Deacon's a warrior in there, it'll take more than a dropkick to finish him off. Sean hasn't even scratched the surface.

BB: Both Deacon and Stevens are up, Deacon staggers in Triple X's direction.

JS: HIP TOSS!

BB: Sorry John, but that's an arm drag, when we come across a hip toss we'll let you know, though.

JS: Oh.. (Ivy shakes her head.)

IVY: Sean's working on the arm, smart strategy, if he doesn't have any power in the arm, there's a good chance Deacon won't be able to finish him off with an Altar Call. All bias aside, Triple X is one of the smartest wrestlers to ever wrestle a match.

BB: Deacon's making his way to his feet. an arm bar can only hold him down for so long. He's using his strength to push Stevens up against the ropes. He shoots him off to the other side, but Stevens doesn't let go of his grip. Smart strategy by Triple X... Deacon pulls back. Big right hand! Sean's staggering, but he's still hanging on. ANOTHER! Trip lets go. Deacon charges. RUNNING BACK ELBOW!

JS: Take two of these and call me in the morning.

IVY: Deacon's down for the cover, I don't think he has him. but, I'm sure Sean is a little dizzy as a result. Deac really planted him.

BB: One. Two. Triple X kicks out! Deacon has Sean up. GORILLA PRESS! But, he's not going for the pin. He's still trying to shake the pain out of that arm... it's got to be excruciating! Triple X stands up on his feet. Throat Jab. Another! Deacon moves in. FACEBUSTER! He drops down for the cover. One. Two. Thr-Kickout! One thing's for sure. You'll never be able to question Sean's heart. Win, lose, or draw.

IVY: I think Deacon's sensing something. He's not as cautious as he once was. I hope it doesn't lead to overconfidence. Because Sean's the master at duping his opponents into thinking they have him in a compromising position.

JS: Question. how do YOU know so much about Sean. Is that his name?

IVY: He's my boyfriend. I thought we covered that in the first thirty seconds. And, yes, that IS his name. Do me a favor. Think before you ask any more questions, okay? OKAY. Sean and I have a relationship OUTSIDE of wrestling, right now, this is my job and wrestling in that ring is his.

BB: Deacon closes in, raising Stevens to his feet. Deacon drags him to the nearest corner. Back elbow to the face! Stevens doubles over. Deacon stands him up again, then sends him to the opposite turnbuckle! Deacon comes charging in after!! STEVENS MOVES! TRIPLE X BOLTS TO THE ROPES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE, FLYING BODY TACKLE! BOTH STEVENS AND DEACON ARE ON THE FLOOR!!!

JS: I. don't. know. what. to say!

BB: Good. don't say anything.

IVY: This match is important to both men, a win will do a lot for both of their careers, but just like I'm sure they both know, a loss will do just as much damage. There's a good chance Sean could be hurt, but anybody that knows him knows that he'll put it all on the line to win a match.

BB: That he will, Ivy. Both are making there way to their feet. Deacon comes walking over... double axehandle! Deacon glances out at the fans. The noise level has increased ten-fold!! Deacon positions Sean. No! He wouldn't!! POWERBOMB ON THE MAT OUTSIDE THE RING!! I DIDN'T THINK DEACON WOULD DO IT. BUT, HE DID! WOW!

JS: Something tells me Sean won't be getting up anytime soon. That move took a lot out of him.

IVY: The referee's already started his count. He's already on five. Deacon's inside the ring. It's almost as if it's safe to say, it's academic.

BB: No. Deacon slides out of the ring and breaks the ten-count. He could regret that later, but that just shows you the kind of man that he is.

JS: I don't get it. He had the win. What's he doing?

BB: John. Deacon is a proud man. Words were exchanged between these two this week, and it wouldn't do either man or these fans any justice to see this match end on a countout. Both want to know who the better man is. It's about having heart, having the drive. And Deacon just proved that he has all of that. He won't rest until he beats Stevens in the center of the ring, but that doesn't mean he'll take a victory any way he can get it.

JS: I still don't understand.

IVY: Then just sit there and be quiet. I'm sorry, but he's really starting to annoy me.

BB: Deacon slides inside the ring. Sean's scrambling to get on his feet. He's using the ropes as a crutch. Sean is up, he's looking for Deacon. Triple X spins around, I think he's dizzy.

IVY: He's gonna be a lot more than dizzy.

BB: CHOKESLAM! DEACON'S DOWN WITH THE COVER. ONE. TWO. THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOO! STEVENS KICKED OUT! Deacon looks a little flustered, but he's a veteran. he's back up on his feet. I'm taking it he thinks the end is near. he climbs the turnbuckle. Sean is stumbling to his feet. Deacon's measuring him. FLYING CLOTHESLINE!! Another pin. ONE. TWO. THREE---NOOOOOOOO!

IVY: That was close! Listen to these fans, Bill... both men are putting on a show, and there's a good chance all the people at home are feeling the same energy we're feeling here live! They're blowing the roof off the building here in Richmond!!

BB: Deacon's up. He lifts Sean up with a handful of hair. I think he's gonna try and finish him off with an Altar Call. He lifts Sean up!! Wait. STEVENS IS WAILING AWAY AT DEACON'S FACE!! DEACON COLLAPSES! SEAN LANDS ON TOP. THE REF DROPS DOWN FOR THE COVER. ONE.. TWO... KICKOUT! Triple X is still hurt. He's still feeling the effects of the beating he's suffered at the hands of Deacon tonight. Trip is using the ropes for support, signaling for the big man to get up on his feet. Deacon does. Triple X charges. Slides in between his legs. He's up, Deacon's back is turned, everything happened so fast. GEEEEERRRRMAAAN SUPLEX!

IVY: How in God's name did he just DO that?!!?

JS: He's your boyfriend, Ivy. you tell us-

IVY AND BUCKLEY: SHUT UP!!

BB: I can't believe I just-Triple X isn't the smallest wrestler on the CSWA roster, but he's far from the biggest. It's one thing to arm drag a big man like Deacon but it's another to lift that big man over your head and suplex him neck first to the mat! Why isn't he going for the cover?.

IVY: But, he's too stubborn. Sean is in the corner, and judging from his mannerisms, it's not to hard to figure out what's coming next. he shouldn't pound on the mat too hard, though. he's in there against one of the best. Deacon's done his home work, he knows what that sound means.

BB: Deacon's looking around, dizzily, searching for SOMETHING to get him on his feet. He's in the far corner of the ring from Triple X. I think he may have heard your warning Ivy, as he's no longer stomping loudly. He's simply waiting, stalking. Deacon turns around. Triple X charges.. FACTOR-X!!!!

(The fans, already on their feet, gasp as they hear the SMACK of the superkick again Deacon echo through the arena.

IVY: Sean nailed him good. I don't think I've ever seen him land it so hard. I think a quick cover could end this. What a win this would be!

BB: ONE.. TWO.... THREE!!! ---- DEACON KICKED OUT!! These fans are applauding these two amazing wrestlers!! But Triple X is stunned! Deacon is still down, but, he's showing signs of life. Triple X is up on his feet. He's yelling something. The crowd - as much as they were behind Deacon at the beginning of this match, they're JUST as behind him now! Stevens is signaling for the big man to make it to his feet. Deacon's up! SUPER-- NO! DEACON CAUGHT HIS LEG. SPINS HIM AROUND, KICK TO THE GUT.. ALTAR CALL!!!

IVY: Good night, what a counter! What resiliency. I honestly don't think there's a loser in this match. Both are putting everything they have on the line, and they should BOTH be rewarded.

JS: Is that like. his finisher or something?

BB: (ignoring Simons) Deacon's still feeling the effects of that first superkick. But, he crawls over to Sean's body. It could all be academic, as he drapes his arm over Triple X's still body. ONE! TWO! THREE!! DEACON'S DONE IT! HE DEFEATED THE MORE THAN READY UP-AND-COMER! WO-

IVY: I don't think so Buckley! Look at Patrick Young! Apparently Sean's foot was on the bottom rope. Deacon can't believe it! And Sean's actually starting to move!

BB: The referee's trying to explain everything that just happened, to Deacon. I'm not sure he fully understands how he could be declared the winner one second, and in the next he's not. He needs to refocus his attention to Stevens, who's making movements behind Deacon's back. In fact, he's making MORE than movements. He's right underneath the big man. ROLL UP! ONE.. TWO... THREE--- DEACON KICKOUTS OUT AGAIN! WOW!

IVY: We've got more than our money's worth, that I can say! Both men refuse to lose tonight!

BB: Deacon looks fed up, though. He's hammering away at Sean, keeping him crouched over in the corner trying to absorb all of those huge blows! Deacon snatches Stevens by the hair, and drags him to the center of the ring. He wraps his hand around his throat.

IVY: One more chokeslam will end this.

BB: Deacon lifts Sean up! NOOOOO! It looked like Deacon's ARM gave out on him! THAT and, SEAN PUT ALL OF HIS WEIGHT DOWN ON IT! Deacon staggers back, holding his arm in pain. STEVENS IS UP! DEACON TURNS HIS ATTENTION BACK TO TRIPLE X!!! FACTOR-X OUT OF NOWHERE!! TRIPLE X SUCKERED HIM IN! HE'S DOWN FOR THE COVER! ONE... TWO... THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! SEAN STEVENS BEAT DEACON! HE DID IT!

(Ivy gets up from her position at the booth, and runs into the ring, raising Triple X's arm up in victory. Deacon makes it to his feet as well. He glances over at Sean, who nods, causing Deacon to return the gesture. They meet in the center of the ring with a handshake, as the crowd goes wild.)

BB: It's an amazing scene folks... we'll be right back with Hornet versus Wicked Sight!
