FISH FUND IX: Battle On The Bayou September 1, 1994 Featuring: First two rounds of the Unified World Heavyweight Championship Tournament NOTE: This includes only the first 12 posts that were recoverable. :< =============================================================================== Time: Just before FISH FUND IX Place: 6th Floor, New Orleans City Hospital Director: OK, I want Camera 1 down the hall, Camera 2 in the room, and Camera 3 across the hall. Are we ready to start? Alright, ACTION! Cueman: OK people. "Jack Roiter: Tale Of An American Hero," take one! Reporter: Ladies and gentleman, this is July 15, 1994. We are here in a local hospital in New Orleans in order to see a true hero in action. Just less than two weeks ago, Jack Roiter was savagely attacked by a wrestler. Mr. Roiter already had neck problems before the attack. After the attack, the doctors told him he would never walk again. However, today, Jack Roiter is going to walk. Because he's what legends are made of. Because he's made of the stuff of heroes. And here he is, folks. (An orderly wheels Jack into the hall.) JR: Well, here goes nothing, folks. (He stands.) (The orderly tries to help him.) JR: I don't need help, youngster. I can do it. (He slowly begins to take a step.) Reporter: Here he goes folks. A man that doctors said would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. (Down the hall, two men are making loud noises as they come down the hall in wheelchairs.) Reporter: Slowly but surely, Jack Roiter is taking the first steps since his accident, steps that no one but himself thought he would ever take. (Down the hall a voice says): I'm gonna beat you, Timmy. This race is mine! Another voice: NO! ME will win! (The two wheelchairs crash into each other and begin spinning out of control.) Director: Hey! What the....? (The wheelchair with a rather large man in it come careening towards the set in the hall.) Director: Hey, we're making a documentary here, bub! Voice: Sorry! (The wheelchair keeps coming, cameramen dive out of the way.) Director: Look out, Jack! (But it's too late, the wheelchair with P. Vicious in it sideswipes Jack, sending him to the cold hard hospital floor, where he hits his head and hip.) JR: Somebody get a doctor, please..... (P. Vicious and the wheelchair go flying by, trying to catch up with Timmy Windham in the other down the hall.) Timmy: HA! ME win! ME get to end of hall first! PV: If you hadn't sideswiped me and made me hit that old man, I would've won! Doctor: Excuse me! What are you doing playing in wheelchairs on my hall!? Wait a minute! You! YOU! You're coming with me! I told you I'd find you! PV: NO! What are you doing here? I thought I left you at Green Valley?! You'll never catch me! At least not alive! Doctor: I never said it had to be alive, you lunatic! (P. Vicious takes off down the hall in his wheelchair, he ends up going down a stairwell and disappearing) BB: Hello wrestling fans!!! This is Bill Buckley here along with Sammy Benson. And this is: FISH FUND IX: Battle On The Bayou. We're here in the newly-built FISHDOME in New Orleans, Louisiana! SB: N'awlins! BB: Um, please excuse Sammy, he's been on Bourbon St. a little too long. But let's not forget the real reason we're here! The FISH FUND itself! SB: Yeah, the big fat women who need butt tucks and liposuction. BB: Basically, yeah, that's it. FISH FUND was started in 1989 to give less-than-perfect women some advantages through plastic surgery. And thus, the FISH FUND was born in Sweetwater, Texas, now home of the Windhams and the FISH FUND PARK. So, here we are in the FISH DOME to raise some money for these women and to see some great wrestling action! We've got the first two rounds of the Unified World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, as well as almost all singles and tag teams championships are up for grabs! SB: And of course, we just saw P. Vicious end Jack Roiter's chances of ever walking again! BB: We'll see OJ Simpleson and HEAT battle in their Barbed Wire match, the Dark Wizard and Dark Warrior rematch, the debut of a couple of tag teams! And that's not all! Remember, this is a two-day event! We've got Muppet Kid vs. Joey Melton for the IC belt. Bonecrusher will meet Troy Windham for the Greensboro Title. The CS Express returns to the ring as World Tag Team Champions. Crazy Like A Muppet will meet again in another rematch against ARROGANCE! The Parsons and the Benedicts will feud for the CSWA Presidential Tag Team Belts. Also, the debut of "Nirvana" Rodney Lawrence! We've also been told that CSWA officials have a few announcements to make! We'll return with them after this! Bulletin ID: EWA940830220526DUCW54B =============================================================================== Board: SPORTS Subject: CSWA: FISH FUND 9.02 Posted: August 30,1994 22:06:08 To: ALL From: CS MERRITT (DUCW54B) BB: The fireworks are flying here in the FISHDOME as one of the greatest card names returns to the CSWA. You're here with the premiere league in wrestling today! Now, we're going to head down to Stan Parsons who is in the press conference room downstairs. Stan? SP: We're here waiting for news from CSWA officials and the Board of Directors. And here comes CSWA Co-Commissioner Chad Merritt to start the press conference. CM: Thank you all for coming just before we start the great wrestling action we've got lined up for all the fans. Tonight, you're going to see the first major supercard since the CSWA has returned from its extended European Tour. And it includes one of the greatest tournaments in history ever. It's not the biggest ever, but it has many of the best. Hornet, Melton, Tyler, Flair, Degadeth, York, Roiter, and many others are all gunning for their places in the Great Eight after tonight. They are all hoping to become only the second man to hold the Unified World Heavyweight Championship; the championship that has been two years in the making and includes 34 different titles from other premiere leagues. Of course, the one thing on everyone's mind is: how can it determine the best without Mark Windham being included? The simple answer is: it can't. Mark Windham is simply one of the greatest wrestlers in the world today. To answer some of your questions, or attempt to: we have been negotiating with Mark Windham. However, we will not back down on trying to collect the fine, and Windham still will not be competing in the tournament. We do not know if Mark will be returning to the CSWA. As for other news: the Board of Directors has decided that the runner-up in the Tournament will be the new United States-National Championship. There are two final announcements: First, the next CSWA Summer Supercard to close out the Bloated Fish Tour '94. In upcoming weeks, the CSWA will have: ELVIS LIVES CELEBRATION VIII: Takin' Care of Business! It will be held on the grounds of Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. We've obtained special permission from the Presley Family and Elvis' estate to make this happen. The Final Four of the Unified Tournament will be held there and a new champion will be crowned. Finally, we have decided that also at ELVIS LIVES, the tag team situation will heat up. We have spoken to CS Express and they have agreed to put their titles on the line. They will be one of many teams competing in the CSWA's John W. Boozer Invitational Tag Team Tournament. The winner of the Tournament will not only win the World Tag Team Championships but one million dollars. CM: In 1990, the CS Express won the first ever Boozer Invitational. In 1992, America's Team, Hornet and Mark Windham won the honor. This year, the third Boozer Tournament will be for the World Tag Team Championships. Already invited along with the CS Express: Crazy Like A Muppet, ARROGANCE, Overseas Connection, the Aerial Express and others. The winner of FISH FUND's CLAM vs. ARROGANCE top contenders matchup will decide the #2 seed. The present World Champions CS Express will be the #1 seed unless they are defeated at this card. That's all I have. Thank you for bearing with me, and now let's get the action started! SP: That's it, Bill. Windham's still gone, the runner-up in the Unified Tournament will determine the new US-National Champion, the World Tag Team Titles will be on the line in the third ever Boozer Invitational Tag Team Tournament. And, the Boozer Invitational will happen at ELVIS LIVES VIII where we'll also see the finals of the Unified! BB: Thanks, Stan. Wow. ELVIS LIVES CELEBRATION VIII will actually take place on the Graceland manor. I guess it's as close to the King as you can get! SP: Or would want to! BB: We're ready to start it off in the first night of FISH FUND IX's action! And we're going to do that by seeing a rematch. These two met at Independence Day '94 to determine the Dark One of the CSWA. Tonight's rematch will settle it once and for all. First, the winner of their first match, this is DARK WIZARD! And his opponent, from who knows where, this is the DARK WARRIOR! They're starting it even before the bell sounds! Dark Warrior grabs Dark Wizard and throws him into the corner. He gets Dark Wizard up and steps to the second rope to do a suplex! He follows up by DDTing Wizard into the mat, and now he's got the arms hooked! There's a double underhook powerbomb! What a maneuver! He follows up with a forearm from the ropes and now he whips Dark Wizard into the ropes! There's a snap-frank n' parsons, knon as the Guillotine! Dark Warrior covers! ONE....TWO....THREEE!!!! With impressive moves and an incredible determination, Dark Warrior shows that he is the only Dark One in the CSWA! He'll have to be dealt with! We'll see him later in the Unified Tournament! Oh well, I guess wishes can come true. Hortense and the LOVE Sisters, the o-fish-al musical entertainment of CSWA's FISH FUND IX have just finished up on the stage. Our next match is just about ready to start. First, the newcomer who is quickly making a name for himself in the CSWA, this is the model of British nobility, Sir Dunton! And his opponent, this is the former Pacific, Eastern States, and Intracontinental Champion Wildstar! Sir Dunton will have his hands full in this one. This is going to be a big test for him tonight. Wildstar just lost the IC Championship a few days ago, and I don't think he's going to let Sir Dunton take him to the mat. There's the bell, and the two men grapple. Dunton whips Wildstar into the ropes and catches the former IC champ with a dropkick. Dunton follows up with a tilt-a-whirl suplex setting him up for his TERMINATOR! That's Dunton's patented powerbomb! He covers! ONE....no, WIldstar is up, but Dunton catches him with a neckbreaker and then another tilt-a-whirl suplex! Wildstar is finally on his feet, and he puts Dunton to the mat with a fireman's carry. But Sir Dunton is up, and he nails Wildstar with a belly to belly spulex, and then another tilt-a-whirl suplex! Dunton hooks the leg for a grapevine cover! One....Two...no, Wildstar's up. But Dunton catches him in a small package! ONE.....TWO....THREE!!!! Sir Dunton meets the challenge and defeats Wildstar! And the non-stop action continues, as KC Colossus makes his way to the ring. We haven't seen Colossus in action in a long time, but he's making his return tonight. And he'll be facing off against a CSWA newcomer. We've already heard a lot about him even before his first match. Here he comes, this is, "Nirvana" Rodney Lawrence! There's the bell. Colossus hooks in a headlock, but Lawrence pushes him into the ropes and catches him coming off with a bulldog! Lawrence DDTs KC back to the mat, and follows up with a figure 4 leglock! Colossus grabs the ropes, but Lawrence jerks him away and nails him with the Optimum, a superplex to his knee! What a move! He's got KC in an STF right now. Lawrence lets up before KC can submit. He follows up with a moonsault! Lawrence is just playing with KC Colossus! Now he hooks in the figure four. But wait a minute, he turns it into an STF, hooks the head and nails KC with an elbow in the eyes. It's his finisher, the Nirvanazer! That's it, Colossus has submitted! But Lawrence isn't done, he takes KC to the top rope and superplexes him to the mat. And now a step-over-toe hold, a lightning plex, another DDT. He's not stopping! Lawrence slams Colossus in the steel post. Wow, Nirvana will be a man to be dealt with in the near future in the CSWA! He's finally stopped toying with KC Colossus and headed back to the dressing room. The fans love him! Meanwhile, it looks like Colossus' redebut in the CSWA will be his last. Up next, we've got a match for the Greensboro Heavyweight Championship! Bonecrusher has been able to keep the title since late last year and he only looks like he wants to move up in the CSWA. I'm positive he won't stop there. Tonight, he meets the only Windham he hasn't been able to defeat. Last year he defeated Mark Windham in another league, just a few days ago he defeated Timmy Windham. But Troy Windham was able to defeat him a couple of weeks ago. Tonight is their rematch, and this time, it's for the championship. Here they go! Troy starts up quickly, putting Bonecrusher on the mat. There's a piledriver by Windham. I think he caught the G'boro Champ off guard. But Bonecrusher is up, and he knocks the wind out of Windham. Now he catches him with a powerbomb! Now it's Windham's turn again, as he catches Bonecrusher with a brainbuster! Both men are on fire, and Bonecrusher nails Windham with a short clothesline and now a hip toss! He's carrying Windham to the top rope! And he brings him back to the mat with a TR Belly to back suplex! But Troy is still aware enough to hook on the Iron Claw! It must be a Windham reflex! Bonecrusher finally gets out of it, but Windham now catches him with a piledriver and hooks on another claw! Now he pulls Bonecrusher up and catches him with a flying dropkick! But Bonecrusher is able to nail Troy with the Implant DDT! Again, Troy is on his feet! There's a belly to back suplex on the G'boro Champion, and now a piledriver by Windham, and another flying dropkick. Windham now hooks in a boston crab! He's got Bonecrusher in trouble! He whips Bonecrusher into the ropes and comes off with a flying body press! But Bonecrusher catches him and slams him to the mat! ONE.....TWO.....THREE!! With a reversal, Bonecrusher barely holds on to his Greensboro Championship! It looks like he's finished inhaling all the concessions and he's ready for business! SB: BURP! Excuse me! Must have been that last chili dog! BB: Gross! Well, it's time for the matches we've all been waiting for. Up now is the first match of the first round of the UNIFIED World Heavyweight Championship Tournament!!!! The top men in the CSWA are competing for the vacant title. Of course, we can't forget that "The Living Legend" Mark Windham has been banned from the Tournament, and may indeed have retired from the CSWA. First up, is former six-time Intracontinental Champion and two-time CSWA Unified Champion, JOEY MELTON! He is the #2 seed in this tournament, and will be facing the 31-seeded Iron Eagle. Later tonight, he'll also make his bid to become a seven-time IC Champ by going after present IC Champ "Muppet Kid" Timmy Windham! SB: That's really, really scary. BB: Isn't it, though? There's the bell, and this tournament is underway! Melton starts off quickly, catching Iron Eagle in a camel clutch. Iron Eagle finally grabs the ropes and sends Melton into the turnbuckle! He pulls the stunned Melton up the ropes with him and nails him with a powerbomb! And now a flying head butt. But Melton is up! He whips Iron Eagle into the ropes and catches him with a bulldog, and now hooks in a boston crab! There's a step-over-toe hold and now his patented Figure 4 by Joey! He wraps Iron Eagle up in a cradle! ONE....TWO.....THREE! Joey Melton advances to the second round of the tournament! We'll be back with more first round action from the tournament! BB: Up next, we'll find out who will be the man unlucky enough to face Melton in the second round. #18 Mickey Benedict will face off against #15 Chester McGovern. It's the five-time World Junior Champion versus the former multi-time CSWA Presidential Champ! SB: Youth versus a decrepid old man! BB: That's about right! Here they go. McGovern catches Mickey with a power slam, but the old man, excuse me, Benedict is up quickly He catches McGovern in a surfboard, and now catches him with a Slingshot Special! There's a sleeper by Benedict, and now a small package cover! ONE...TWO...THREE!!! I hate to say, but Mickey Benedict actually looks ready for action! He could do some damage in this tournament! SB: Um, Bill, he's up against Joey Melton in the next round, I don't think we'll be seeing more than two minutes more of him in the tournament. BB: You're probably right, Sammy, for once, that is. Up now, the other half of this bracket. 23-ranked "Wild One" Mike Day is headed against the surprise entry in this tournament. The #10 seed is "Mr. Magnificent." He was just entered late last week. Of course, we've heard of other men with that nickname, but none of us have actually seen him yet. I guess we'll know very soon! Because here he comes! SB: It's TOM...wait a minute...no, it's not. BB: It's a masked man, actually, standing well over 6', and dressed from head to toe in black! I guess we'll see why he's ranked 10th in this tournament. There's the bell. Mike Day catches the masked man in a sleeper hold, but Mr. Magnificent breaks out quickly. He slams The Wild One to the mat and wraps him up in a figure four! MM lets up and then follows up with a german suplex! ONE....TWO...THREE!!! Mr. Magnificent looks impressive in his debut and moves on to the second round. (SHORT FORM: Both men battled back and forth, with Terminator coming out on top in the end. With a boston crab he set Bonecrusher up for a pin from the TR. However, Bonecrusher was able to roll out of the way and cover Terminator to move on to the second round! (20-100)) BB: Wow, what a match! Bonecrusher barely eeked out that one. I guess that's why he's the Greensboro Champ! He also had to reverse to hold on to his Championship against Troy Windham earlier tonight! The next bracket is headed up by #3 Mike Roiter who will take on #30 Loki in his bid for the UNIFIED World Heavyweight Championship. There's the bell. Roiter's on fire, as he catches Loki with a suplex, and then a superkick. Another suplex sends Loki to the mat, and Roiter hooks in the STF!!! The ref has called for the bell! Mike Roiter advances by submission! And the Tournament for the greatest championship in the land continues, as OJ Simpleson meets Euphoria! #14 Euphoria vs. #19 OJ Simpleson Euphoria had no chance, as Simpleson used every trick in the book to finish Euphoria off early. A jump-splash cover from the top rope ended Euphoria's bid for the Championship. (-80-500) BB: So, Mike Roiter will meet OJ Simpleson in the second round tomorrow night. However, it's good that OJ ended the match so quickly, he faces HEAT in their Barbed Wire match to end tonight's card! UP next, #11 Wildstar meets #22 Sammy Flair. Both these men are former IC Champions. This should be a good one. There's a body slam by Flair, and another! Wildstar is up quickly and puts Sammy on the mat. He heads to the top and catches Flair with a Shooting Star Press as he gets up! But Flair isn't so easily daunted. A reverse chinlock followed by a neckbreaker puts him in control of the match once again. Sammy Flair tries to cover with a sunset flip from the top! ONE....no! But there's a back slide. Can Wildstar break out of it? ONE...TWO...THREE! Sammy Flair moves on! SB: NO! Wildstar, you loser! Get out of my sight! BB: It must be the chili dogs talking again. Folks, we're going to work a little out of order here. Since HEAT has his Barbed Wire match later tonight, his first round Tournament match will take place now. He is ranked #9 and will face off against #24 TD Dagati. HEAT starts it off quickly, with a powerbomb! He's trying to save all his energy for Simpleson later tonight! But Dagati catches him with a choke slam. HEAT used a head butt to set Dagati up for the Scorpion deathlock! But Dagati grabs the ropes. He's able to catch HEAT with an ad stretch and another choke slam, but it won't be enough, because there's a HEAT WAVE! ONE....TWO...THREE!!! HEAT will move on. His second round opponent for tomorrow will be the winner of the Steven Flair/JT Tyler match later tonight. Now, back in order, #6 Timmy Windham will meet #27 Dark Warrior. The winner of this match will take on Sammy Flair tomorrow. Timmy Windham will be defending his IC Championship later tonight against Joey Melton! SHORT FORM: Timmy Windham just couldn't get the upper hand. He kept it close, but everytime he made a move, Dark Warrior countered. A flying dropkick set Windham up for a TR Sunset Flip by DW.
